In a bizarre crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret cult.
The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the quest will obtain an special katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
